Iran’s reaction to the US report on human rights violations: This report is baseless and politically motivated.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry described the US State Department’s annual report on the human rights situation in Iran as baseless and lacking legal validity, stating that the report was prepared with political motivations.

Nasser Kanaani said that this report has no authority to judge or evaluate the esteemed issue of human rights in international relations.

In a report published on the first day of Farvardin, the US State Department described the human rights situation in Iran as rife with violations of the fundamental freedoms of the people.

The human rights situation in Iran over the past year has repeatedly faced harsh criticism from reputable human rights groups and organizations.

During this year, nearly 500 people were killed in nationwide protests, and four of those arrested in the protests were executed.

The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry said that the US government has no authority to speak about the esteemed values of human rights in other countries.
