Iran’s reaction to Microsoft’s report: We do not accept involvement in cyber attacks
Iran’s representation at the United Nations, while reserving its right to defend itself, denied the involvement of the Islamic Republic of Iran in cyber attacks against the United States.
Recently, Microsoft had warned that Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea have been expanding cyber attacks against the United States by using artificial intelligence.
Earlier, the Associated Press reported based on Microsoft’s findings that Iran, China, Russia, and North Korea have significantly increased the use of artificial intelligence to deceive people on the internet and carry out cyber attacks against the United States.
The United States is the primary target of cyber attacks, and foreign cyber attackers target American companies, governments, and organizations more than any other country.
Israel and Ukraine were the second and third most targeted for cyber attacks in the world.
This summer, in just the month of July, Microsoft identified over 200 foreign attacker accounts that were using artificial intelligence to create fake online content.
Microsoft says that this number is double the cases from July of last year, 2024.
