The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations denied the transfer of Iranian drones in the Ukraine war
Following a closed-door meeting of the United Nations Security Council requested by Ukraine to discuss the role of Iranian drones in the war in that country, Amir Saeid Iravani, our country’s ambassador and permanent representative, addressed reporters at the UN headquarters, stating that Iran, as a nation that has experienced 8 years of invasion and imposed war, has consistently supported peace and an immediate end to the war in Ukraine. He urged the parties to exercise restraint, avoid escalating tensions, and engage in a genuine process to resolve disputes and address the roots of the current situation.
Iran has always stated that it rejects baseless claims regarding the transfer of drones for use in the Ukraine conflict.
