Iran's UN Representative Condemned Israel in Security Council, Prevented Retaliation

Iran’s representative at the United Nations condemned the Security Council for not preventing retaliation against Israel.

On April 11, Iran’s representative at the United Nations wrote on the social media platform X that if the Security Council had condemned Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus and taken action against those responsible, perhaps the need for Iran to punish Israel would have been eliminated.

As a result of the airstrike on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus on April 2, at least seven people were killed. Officials of the Islamic Republic attribute this attack to Israel.

Yesterday, the leader of the Islamic Republic threatened Israel, stating that the country would be punished. In response to these remarks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, indirectly addressing Iran, said that his country is ready to counter any attack.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz also warned the leader of the Islamic Republic on the social media platform X, stating that if the Islamic Republic attacks Israel from Iran, Israel will respond to this attack within Iran.
