Iraq's Foreign Minister Discusses with the US the Resumption of Services for Iran Flights

The Iraqi Foreign Minister is discussing with the U.S. the restoration of services to Iranian flights.

Fuad Hussein, the Foreign Minister of Iraq, announced that Baghdad intends to discuss with Washington the U.S. sanctions against providing services to Iranian airplanes, in order to find a way to resume these services. In an interview with Al Arabiya, he stated that the Iraqi government has informed the Iranian side about the ban on flights of Iranian airlines. The new U.S. restrictions expose companies that provide services like refueling, ground services, and ticket sales to Iranian airplanes to secondary sanctions. This issue has caused the suspension of Iranian flights at several Iraqi airports in recent days.
