The commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force stated that war with the Taliban will absolutely not happen.

Following the killing of at least three Iranian border guards during border clashes with Taliban forces, the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force said on Monday that these clashes should not be exaggerated.

He added that although some people are trying to turn these clashes into a war, such a war will absolutely not happen.

Earlier on Saturday of the current week, the Afghan newspaper 8 Sobh reported, citing local officials, that Iranian border guards and Taliban forces had an armed conflict in Kang district of Nimruz province. Subsequently, Fars News Agency, which is close to the IRGC, also reported the occurrence of this clash near the Sasouli post.

This incident was significant enough that the deputy commander of the National Police and the commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran entered the Sistan region on Sunday.
