The IRGC claims to have employed missiles equipped with artificial intelligence
Simultaneously with the announcement of increased U.S. military presence in the Persian Gulf to prevent the seizure of commercial ships by Iran, the media of the Islamic Republic reported the start of the IRGC Navy’s power demonstration exercise from the early hours of Wednesday, August 2nd, in the same region.
Sepah News, the information base of the IRGC, announced that this exercise has started on Abu Musa Island with the aim of showcasing the power and combat readiness of the IRGC Navy in safeguarding the security of the Persian Gulf and Iranian islands.
Fars News Agency, close to the IRGC, reported that for the first time in this exercise, the Ghadir cruise missile system and also the Fateh 360 ballistic missile, which this media claims is equipped with artificial intelligence, were unveiled.
Conducting a military exercise on the three islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb also carries another message to Iran’s neighbors.
These islands are claimed by the United Arab Emirates, and although they were annexed to Iranian territory during the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and before the establishment of the UAE, other countries on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf support the UAE’s claim over them.
