The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has not purchased the broadcasting rights for the World Cup games.

According to media reports, the names of Iran and IRIB do not appear in the broadcasting and rights table for the World Cup matches on the FIFA website. Iran’s ambassador to Qatar claimed on October 25th that IRIB had purchased the exclusive broadcasting rights for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
