IRNA News Agency: Iran Granted Permission to Several Iraqi Oil Tankers to Pass Through the Strait of Hormuz

IRNA News Agency: Iran has granted permission for a number of Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

IRNA News Agency has reported that Iran has issued permits for several Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz following repeated requests from Iraq.

According to this report, Baghdad had repeatedly submitted requests through various channels to Tehran for the passage of its oil tankers.

IRNA also wrote that during the visit of Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, to Iraq, obtaining a special permit for Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz was the main demand of Baghdad officials.

The movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil and gas transit routes, has drastically decreased due to the war.
