The representative of Isfahan once again emphasized the need for a solution to the land subsidence in this city.
Amid ongoing warnings about the increasing land subsidence in Isfahan, the city’s representative once again stressed the necessity of addressing this issue in the early days of the year.
According to Mehdi Taghiani, Isfahan’s representative in parliament, the danger of increasing subsidence in this city is so serious that if a solution isn’t found in the next few years, all of us will have to leave Isfahan.
In an interview with Khabar Online, he emphasized that the entire Isfahan plain is at risk of subsidence due to the dryness of the central plateau river of Iran.
In recent years, numerous reports of sudden land subsidence in streets and residential areas in several cities in Iran have been published.
Among these, Isfahan province has been one of the most vulnerable, and even the historic city center of Isfahan, along with its schools and ancient buildings, has experienced subsidence in recent years.
