Ismail Haniyeh Confirms the Death of His Three Sons and Three Grandchildren in Gaza

Ismail Haniyeh confirmed the killing of his three sons and three grandchildren in Gaza

Mr. Haniyeh told Al Jazeera that he considers the death of his children an honor for them and himself, as they stayed alongside the people of Palestine in Gaza, did not leave, and did not flee.

He added, the blood of my sons is not more precious than the blood of our people.

The political leader of Hamas heard the news of his children and grandchildren’s deaths while visiting Palestinian wounded who have been taken to Qatar for treatment.

The Israeli army has not yet commented.

An Israeli source told the newspaper Haaretz that there is a fear the agreement with Hamas for the release of hostages might be jeopardized due to the killing of Ismail Haniyeh’s children.

Mr. Haniyeh told Qatar’s Al Jazeera network that our demands are clear and explicit, and we will not compromise on them. The enemy is deluded if it thinks that targeting my sons amid negotiations, before our movement sends its response, will force Hamas to change its stance.
