ISPA Election Poll: Pezeshkian's Votes on the Rise

The ISPA election survey shows a rising trend for Pezeshkian’s votes

ISPA has released the latest results of its survey on the presidential elections

There has been no significant change in the level of public participation in the elections compared to the previous wave on June 19 and 20, such that the definite participation rate has increased from 42.5% in the previous wave to 43.9% in the current survey. It is expected that the trend of public participation will change during the current week until the election day.

Data from the last three waves of ISPA’s election surveys show that, unlike the level of participation, the potential votes of the three popular presidential candidates have changed in the latest ISPA survey on June 23 and 24 compared to previous waves. This change shows an upward trend for Mr. Pezeshkian, whose vote share has increased from 19.8% in the previous wave to 24.4% in the current survey. Meanwhile, the vote shares of the other two candidates, Mr. Jalili and Ghalibaf, have decreased. Saeed Jalili’s vote share has dropped from 26.2% in the previous wave to 24% in the current survey. This decrease has also occurred for Mr. Ghalibaf, whose votes have fallen from 19% in the previous wave to 14.7% in this wave.

The results of the presidential candidates’ votes in the event of the potential withdrawal of any candidates show that with Saeed Jalili’s withdrawal, 48% of his supporters would vote for Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, 15.1% would vote for Alireza Zakani, and 7.9% would vote for Masoud Pezeshkian.

Meanwhile, with Ghalibaf’s withdrawal, 33.3% of his votes would be added to Saeed Jalili’s tally, and 19.4% would vote for Pezeshkian. Additionally, 18.5% have stated that they have not yet decided on a replacement and need to see the other candidates’ programs.
