Israel attacks Aleppo airport again
The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced in a statement published on Facebook in the early hours of Wednesday that material damages were inflicted on Aleppo airport in the alleged Israeli attack.
According to the statement, in the third attack of this kind on Aleppo airport in the past six months, Israel fired missiles at 3:55 AM from the Mediterranean Sea west of the city of Latakia.
According to the Haaretz newspaper of Israel, Syrian state television reported two weeks ago that an Israeli airstrike had caused the closure of this airport.
The official SANA news agency in Syria, citing a military official at the time who was not named, wrote that Israeli fighter jets fired missiles from over the Mediterranean toward Aleppo International Airport, the second most populous city in Syria.
The head of Syria’s aviation organization said that flights to and from Aleppo airport had resumed on Friday after repairs were completed.
