Israel responds to Qalibaf: Iran is lying as always
The Israeli Foreign Ministry accused the Islamic Republic of lying in reaction to Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf’s statements about the attack on Beirut’s Dahieh.
In a message, the ministry stated that the Iranian regime is lying as always, and Iran’s proxy force in Lebanon attacked Israel this morning without any reason.
The message continued by stating that this group continuously targets Israeli citizens and has not stopped its attacks even after the ceasefire was established.
This reaction came after Qalibaf considered the Israeli attack on Dahieh as a sign of America’s inability or unwillingness to fulfill its commitments.
In contrast, media close to this group in Lebanon have announced that today’s attacks only targeted Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and that no attack was carried out on northern Israel.
Israel and this Lebanese armed group have repeatedly accused each other of violating the ceasefire since it was established.
