Israeli Airstrike on Southern Lebanon and Gaza Strip

Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip

News media in the early hours of Friday, April 7th, reported that the Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes in retaliation for rocket attacks that, for the first time in years, were launched from southern Lebanon, targeting Hamas positions in southern Lebanon and Gaza.

The Lebanese television network Al-Mayadeen reported multiple explosions in the city of Tyre, located in the south of the country.

Before the Israeli airstrikes, extremist Islamist militants had fired dozens of rockets at Israel from Lebanese territory.
