Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army: We failed to protect civilians
The Chief of the Israeli Army on Thursday acknowledged in a statement that the army did not fulfill its responsibility on the day of the Hamas group’s attack.
In Herzi Halevi’s statement, it is mentioned that the Israeli army is responsible for the security of the country and its citizens, and on Saturday morning in the Gaza Strip, we did not fulfill this duty. We will investigate this matter, but now is the time of war.
The Israeli army says that since October 7, when the Hamas group began its attacks on the country’s territory, they have bombarded the Gaza Strip with nearly six thousand bombs.
