Israeli Defense Minister Calls for Extension of Arms Embargo on Iran

General Yuval Golan, the Israeli Defense Minister, stated at the Munich Security Conference on Friday, February 17th, that when it comes to preventing the Iranian government from acquiring nuclear weapons, all possible options must be on the table.

This session was attended by officials from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Golan also mentioned Iran’s arms exports, despite the arms embargo that includes missiles, related technologies, as well as the purchase and export of advanced military systems until October 2023. He highlighted that Iran has also been expanding the proliferation of advanced weaponry beyond the region.
