Israeli Defense Minister Calls for Extension of Arms Embargo on Iran

The Israeli Defense Minister called for the extension of Iran’s arms embargo.

General Yoav Gallant, the Israeli Defense Minister, said at the Munich Security Conference on Friday, February 17, that when we talk about preventing the Iranian government from acquiring nuclear weapons, all possible options – I repeat, all possible options – must be on the table.

This session was held with the presence of officials from the UAE and Bahrain.

Gallant also clarified regarding the export of weapons by the Islamic Republic, stating that despite the arms embargo that includes missiles and related technologies, as well as the purchase and export of advanced military systems valid until October 2023, Iran has expanded the proliferation of advanced weapons beyond the region.
