The Israeli Defense Minister reports the killing of Ali Larijani and Gholamreza Soleimani
Israel Katz, the Israeli Defense Minister, announced that Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, was targeted in an attack and killed.
Simultaneously, the Israeli army also announced that Gholamreza Soleimani, the Basij commander, was killed in these attacks.
As of the time of this report, Iranian officials have not yet responded to these claims.
Ali Larijani was appointed as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in August of this year.
He previously held this position for about two years during Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s presidency but was removed following disagreements with him.
