The leader of the Israeli opposition: Israel has lost its deterrent power

The leader of the Israeli opposition on Monday accused Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of leading the country towards a complete loss of deterrence.

In a post on the X network, Yair Lapid also said that under Netanyahu’s government, Jewish violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has gotten out of control.

Benjamin Netanyahu, who returned to power in Israel at the end of 2022 at the head of a government composed of far-right parties, according to Mr. Lapid, has left a trail of destruction from Be’eri to Kiryat Shmona.

He went on to call for early elections in Israel.
