The Prime Minister of Israel: Iran will not return to its past state
The Prime Minister of Israel, on Monday, January 18, referred to the widespread protests in Iran and the high number of casualties, saying that the violence used by Tehran’s leaders against their own citizens has revealed the brutal nature of this regime.
Benjamin Netanyahu, in a speech at the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, stated that no one can predict what will happen in Iran, but whatever happens, Iran will not return to what it was.
He added, we are following the developments in Iran very closely. We are all deeply affected by the heroic struggle of Iranian citizens for freedom, prosperity, and justice.
Meanwhile, the human rights group HRANA has announced that the number of casualties from the recent protests in Iran, which began on December 28, has reached 3,308. Reuters news agency has reported this number to be around 5,000.
However, some sources say the number of casualties might be significantly higher and could even exceed 10,000, although it is emphasized that these figures have not been independently verified.
