Issuance of an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for committing war crimes
The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, on charges of committing war crimes related to the illegal and forced transfer of children from Ukraine to Russia.
The prosecution of the International Criminal Court has stated that based on existing evidence, the commission of the crime began at least from the time of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
According to the indictment, Vladimir Putin was involved in committing this crime, and there is credible evidence that he also committed it directly and in collaboration with others.
Furthermore, the Russian leader did not use his authority to prevent the commission of the crime by others.
