Italians Come to Ferdowsi's Aid

The Italians come to Ferdowsi’s rescue

Following the discoloration of the Ferdowsi statue, there are also reports of the main lions of Har Square becoming discolored. These lions, made of copper, were created by Gholamreza Rahimzadeh Arzhang. We inquire Qaderi about the restoration of the Har Square lions, to which he responds that the restoration of these statues is under review, and they may be rebuilt using fiberglass. A 3D scan of the works has been conducted, which could allow the project to be completed next year, but we do not have a definite plan for it yet.

The Ferdowsi statue, a lasting work by Abolhassan Sedighi, which became two-toned due to improper restoration, is set to be restored next year by the Italians.
