Japan detonated its new launch vehicle by sending a signal
On Tuesday, March 7, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency destroyed the new H3 launch vehicle in the air after a failure to ignite the second stage. The H3 is the first in a series of new rockets for the country in the past two decades.
Three weeks of delay due to technical issues and ultimately the unsuccessful launch of the H3 was a setback for Japan’s space program and a disappointment for aerospace technology enthusiasts.
