John Kirby: Iran has provided hundreds of drones to Russia

John Kirby, the Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, emphasized in his press conference on Tuesday night, March 21st, that Iran has provided hundreds of drones to Russia.

He stated that the United States is aware of a defensive relationship between Iran and Russia, and there is ample evidence that this relationship has continually grown and the transactions will continue.

Kirby noted that the defensive and military relationship between Iran and Russia is not only a concern for the people of Ukraine, but also stressed that it is a concern for the people of the Middle East and Iran, as the Islamic Republic could equip itself with Russian weapons and become more dangerous for the region.

He nevertheless clarified that despite military assistance from Iran and North Korea, Russia has suffered significant losses in the Ukraine war, losing tens of thousands of its soldiers, and it is likely that around 100,000 Russian soldiers have been wounded and withdrawn from the battlefield.
