Joint Action by France and Britain Against Illegal Migrants
As the number of illegal migrants attempting to reach Britain via the English Channel is on the rise, the living conditions in camps, the attack and burning of one of their settlement centers, and the overcrowding in facilities with limited capacity have become a serious crisis in Britain’s recent policies.
The British government has finally managed to reach an agreement with the French government to increase security forces in the English Channel to swiftly combat human trafficking gangs and the boats that carry migrants to Britain. With winter approaching, concerns about the recurrence of incidents that in past winters led to migrant deaths due to boat capsizing have increased.
A significant portion of these migrants crossing the English Channel are Iranian.
