Joint Action by France and Britain Against Illegal Immigrants
As the number of illegal immigrants attempting to reach Britain via the English Channel is on the rise, the living conditions of these migrants in camps, the attack and burning of one of their settlement centers, and the overcrowding of these migrants in facilities with limited capacity have become a serious crisis in Britain’s recent weeks’ policy.
The British government has finally managed to reach an agreement with the French government to increase security forces in the English Channel to swiftly combat human trafficking gangs and boats that carry migrants to Britain. Winter is approaching, and concerns about the repetition of incidents that in past winters resulted in the deaths of migrants due to boat capsizing have increased.
A significant portion of these migrants crossing the English Channel are Iranian.
