The Islamic Republic newspaper wrote that for those who feel the danger of the presence of millions of undocumented Afghan nationals in our country, it is very strange that President Raisi has not yet spoken about this issue and has not clarified his stance.
Internationally, no country has been willing to recognize the self-proclaimed Taliban government. The United Nations still considers the Taliban group as terrorist and its government as illegal, and the Security Council of this organization has announced in several reports that Afghanistan under Taliban control has become a hub of terrorism.
Regarding the threat facing Iran, experts and media have issued numerous warnings, but unfortunately, the twelfth and thirteenth governments did not heed these warnings. The twelfth government paved the way for the Taliban, and the thirteenth government provided many facilities to this self-proclaimed group’s government.
The Taliban, using these facilities and amenities, managed to bring tens of thousands of their trained members into Iran and settle them in various areas. These individuals even have access to weapons and have committed numerous crimes within our cities and even in the villages of our country.
Expelling undocumented nationals, closely monitoring documented ones, retracting the political and commercial concessions given to the Taliban, and dealing with this group within the framework of an unrecognized illegal government is an appropriate strategy that the fourteenth government can use to confront this threat. Moreover, a serious and immediate reconsideration regarding the official and several staff members of the Iranian embassy in Kabul is necessary.
