Jordan’s Fight Against Drug Trafficking from Syria and Lebanon
Jordan is seriously pursuing special operations against drug trafficking, especially hashish and the dangerous Captagon pills, with intensity and strength this year. In the latest operation, the Jordanian army seized 600,000 Captagon pills and significant amounts of hashish. Since the beginning of 2022, 30 traffickers have been killed by the Jordanian army, and the number of seized Captagon pills has reached 16 million. The Assad government and Hezbollah in Lebanon are accused by Western officials of the large-scale production and trafficking of Captagon throughout the Middle East and Europe.
