Judge Salavati: The punishment for brandishing a weapon with the intent to harm people’s lives, property, and honor is execution.

This morning, Saturday, September 10th, the court session for the highway robbery case on Niayesh Highway was held in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolqasem Salavati.

At the end of this court session, Judge Salavati warned those who commit violent crimes and thefts involving harassment and disrupt the psychological security of society that, according to Article 279 of the Islamic Penal Code, the punishment for brandishing a weapon with the intent to harm people’s lives, property, and honor or to intimidate them in a way that creates insecurity in the environment is considered ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God), and the sentence for moharebeh is execution.

Judge Salavati concluded by announcing the end of the court session, stating that the verdict for the case will be issued and announced within the next week.
