The Judiciary states Farhad Meysami is in good health
Announcement from the Judiciary’s Media Center
Since last night, the release of Farhad Meysami’s photos, who has been in prison since July 27, 2018, following the finalization of his sentence, has caught users’ attention.
Farhad Meysami was tried on charges of insulting sanctities and assembly and collusion with the intent to act against national security, and after entering prison in 2018, he went on a temporary hunger strike.
Considering that he had a history of colitis, he lost some weight during that period, but with medical interventions and negotiations by prison officials, he eventually ended his hunger strike and received treatment.
However, since last night, photos of him have been circulated again on social media, and investigations by the Prisons Organization show that he has not gone on a hunger strike during this particular period, but he has informed fellow inmates and prison officials that he consumes the least amount of food.
Currently, given the supervision of the prison staff and reports sent to the Rajai Shahr prison officials, his general condition is under the care of the prison’s resident doctor, and his overall health has been reported as suitable.
