The Judiciary News Agency claims Mahvash Sabet’s health condition has no significant issues.
On Wednesday, April 26, Mizan News Agency announced that its follow-ups with the Prisons Organization indicate that claims regarding Mahvash Sabet’s health condition do not align with reality, and a review of her medical file shows that she has been sent several times for examinations to medical centers outside the prison.
Mahvash Sabet, one of the leaders of the Bahá’í community in Iran, has been arrested multiple times in recent years and has received heavy sentences, including long-term imprisonment.
She was last transferred to Evin Prison on January 3, 2023, a few months after being released, once again charged with disrupting national security to serve a 10-year prison sentence.
Faezeh Hashemi, a political activist, said in an audio file released on April 5 that Mahvash describes during interrogation, the interrogator would hit the chair, and since she was sitting facing the wall, her knees would hit the wall. Now in prison, they have done an X-ray and told her that her knees are fractured.
