Judiciary Spokesperson: Six Missing Carpets from Sa'dabad Palace are in Government Buildings and Institutions

The Judiciary spokesperson states that the six missing carpets from the Saadabad Palace are in government buildings and institutions.

According to the spokesperson of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, six out of the 48 missing carpets from Saadabad Palace have been identified. It is said that these carpets are located in government buildings and institutions.

The stolen carpets, valued at 127 billion tomans, were removed from the Hafezieh building of Saadabad Palace several years ago and transferred to an unknown location. Last year, the Fars News Agency reported that these carpets were removed in 2016, during Hassan Rouhani’s presidency. However, a Rouhani administration official denied this claim and attributed the theft of these carpets to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s presidency.
