Justin Trudeau in Meeting with Families of Flight 752 Victims: Today We Mourn with You

Justin Trudeau in a meeting with the families of the victims of Flight 752: Today we mourn with you.

On the eve of the third anniversary of the IRGC missile strike on Ukrainian Flight 752, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has met with the families of the victims of this flight.

In this meeting, the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Transport emphasized Canada’s commitment and the International Coordination and Response Group’s commitment to holding Iran accountable for the death of the passengers on this plane.

Three years ago, on January 8, 2020, 176 passengers on the Tehran to Ukraine flight were killed by two surface-to-air missiles launched by the IRGC’s air defense.

Iran says the incident was due to human error.

In the meeting with the families of the victims of Flight 752, Justin Trudeau said nothing can lessen the pain of losing a loved one, but Canada remains alongside the families of the victims and is persistently seeking justice and accountability for these families. Mr. Trudeau added, today we mourn with you.
