Kambiz Norouzi: The Administrative Court's Ruling on the Internet Was Hasty

Kambiz Norouzi said the Administrative Justice Court’s order regarding the internet was hasty.

Kambiz Norouzi, a legal expert, criticized the Administrative Justice Court’s temporary order to halt the reopening of the internet, describing this decision as hasty and lacking clear legal reasoning.

He said the court’s ruling only mentioned irreparable and difficult damages without specifying what these damages refer to.

Norouzi also pointed out the presence of some pro-filtering figures among the plaintiffs, saying the Administrative Justice Court had not been political until now, but this temporary order did not follow the court’s favorable tradition.

He also described the performance of the Legal Affairs Department of the Presidential Office as passive.

At the same time, Bijan Abbasi, Deputy of the Constitutional Law at the Legal Affairs Department of the Presidential Office, announced that depriving citizens of international internet is against the constitution.

These statements were made after Iran’s nationwide internet, following 88 days of widespread outage, gradually reconnected starting Monday evening.
