Kavakebian submitted the documents related to the Shakdam case to the judiciary; the judiciary says the documents are not valid.
Following the controversies after the statements by Mostafa Kavakebian, a former parliament member, on state television, he posted a message on his account on the social network X, mentioning that he has submitted his evidence to the media court. He stated that Catherine Shakdam has explicitly said that she pursued her malicious intentions through sexual relations with regime officials.
Mostafa Kavakebian added that Catherine Shakdam was present in Iran not just for 18 days but for a long period, and she also participated in Arbaeen marches.
He emphasized that he wished some officials would pursue the main issue of infiltration instead of the unimaginable attack against him by the state television and certain specific news agencies.
This former parliament member, referring to his remarks on state television, wrote that his comments about the spy, Catherine Shakdam, were purely out of concern, and his intention was to express worry about national security and draw attention to the root causes and main factors of infiltration, not the sidelines or minor issues.
Previously, the judiciary of the Islamic Republic announced the summoning of Mostafa Kavakebian, a former parliament member, and the formation of a legal case against him, stating that he was asked to provide the evidence for his claims.
