Kayhan Newspaper: Ban German Embassy Members in Iran from Leaving the Country

The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic in Kayhan Newspaper on Thursday, February 23, called for banning members of the German embassy from leaving the country and for the trial of the intelligence officer stationed at the German embassy.

In an article titled ‘The Assassination Order Was Dictated by the German Government,’ Hossein Shariatmadari severely criticized Berlin’s reaction to the death sentence of Jamshid Sharmahd and accused this Iranian-German citizen of being tasked by the German government to carry out terrorist operations.

Ali Khamenei’s representative in Kayhan claimed that Jamshid Sharmahd was under the surveillance of the German embassy in Iran and was in contact with the German intelligence agency officer through the German embassy.
