Kayhan Newspaper Blames Reformists for Queues to Buy Meat

The Kayhan newspaper blames the formation of queues for obtaining meat on the reformists.

According to Kayhan, the incorrect directive from the reformist head of the office of the Minister of Agriculture regarding the distribution of red meat at the Bahman and Aminabad markets in Tehran, which led to long queues in recent days, once again demonstrated the strange inclination of the reformists to send people into queues. This is despite the fact that red meat is also available in chain stores and is offered in packaged form, but there are no queues in these stores.

Kayhan has written that follow-ups indicate that the distribution of meat in carcass and cut forms at the Bahman and Aminabad markets was carried out based on instructions from Shahrokh Ramazannejad, the reformist acting ministerial head of the office of the Minister of Agriculture, to the head of the Tehran Province Agricultural Jihad Organization. The interventions of the acting ministerial head of the office of the Minister of Agriculture in areas where they lack the necessary expertise have, in recent months, caused embarrassment to the Ministry of Agriculture and the government. Finally, after several days of exploitation by Iran’s enemies, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Commerce announced that the incorrect distribution practice at the Bahman and Aminabad markets has been stopped, and it was decided that this meat will be provided to citizens in pre-weighed, labeled packages.
