Kayhan Newspaper's Claim: Mehran Modiri Stole Someone's Script and Made 'Bitter Coffee'

Kayhan newspaper claims Mehran Modiri stole someone’s script and made ‘Bitter Coffee’.

Kayhan wrote that in the 80s, the late Mohammad Reza Elami proposed a script idea for production that was derived from the novel ‘Mashallah Khan in the Court of Harun al-Rashid’.

However, a while later, and after Mohammad Reza Elami had passed away, the series ‘Bitter Coffee’ was made with a striking resemblance to that script. At the time, media headlines claimed ‘Bitter Coffee’ was a copy of a pre-revolution novel, but in reality, the series was produced based on the dramatic source written by Elami. It is even heard that Mehran Modiri was supposed to play one of the roles in this film, which was of a lower standing, but in the series ‘Bitter Coffee’, he chose the main and significant role for himself.

The reminder of these points was to highlight that Mehran Modiri, despite declaring war on the national media, received 30 billion tomans from this organization and at the same time, along with Hedieh Tehrani, another supporter of the riots, was acting in the film ‘Mirror’ directed by Mahmoud Kalari.
