Kayhan Newspaper’s renewed attack on protesters: Rent-a-thug and destruction seekers
Kayhan Newspaper, whose editor-in-chief is appointed by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, has launched a harsh attack on protesters, labeling them as rent-a-thugs and destruction seekers.
Kayhan has accused the protesters of street brutality and forced strikes, writing that their gatherings consist of only a few dozen people.
In the course of the violent crackdown by the Islamic Republic on the protests in Iran, 400 people have been killed and at least 14,000 to 16,000 have been arrested so far.
