Kayhan’s attack on Hossein Entezami’s management: During this gentleman’s time, vulgarity spread in cinema

Kayhan newspaper wrote that Hossein Entezami, who speaks well in the cultural panels of the candidates for the 14th presidential election and challenges them, has a different track record in practice.

He was in charge of the Cinema Organization from November 2018 until the end of Hassan Rouhani’s government.

During Hossein Entezami’s three-year presence in the Cinema Organization, in addition to the significant increase in vulgarity and the spread of trivial films, Iranian cinema faced a continuous decline in audience, increased injustice among filmmakers, rising economic pressures on filmmakers, and a lack of strategy for continuing cinema activities during the COVID-19 outbreak, turning the year 2021 and the end of his management into one of the most critical periods in the history of Iranian cinema.
