Kayhan's Criticism of Iran's Social Cinema Genre: Pure Blackwashing and Encouragement of Migration, Betrayal, and Crime

Criticism from Kayhan on the social genre of Iranian cinema: Pure black portrayal and encouragement of migration, betrayal, and delinquency

Kayhan wrote: In recent years, Iranian social cinema and home theater have mostly presented a dark, caricatured, hopeless, and unrealistic image of Iranian society without offering solutions. This does not mean that social works aren’t critical and fair, but these works are so few that they get lost among the many dark and often copied works.

Fair and compassionate social works should, with a realistic and deep perspective, be demanding of solving the social issue they narrate, rather than merely recommending migration, betrayal, and delinquency.
