Kazeroon Fire Temple Became a Car Parking

The Kazerun Fire Temple has become a parking lot

The Sassanid Fire Temple of Kazerun, which is said to have been registered in the National Heritage List of Iran in 1939, has been turned into a parking lot for heavy agricultural vehicles and passenger cars.

Siavash Arya, a researcher and cultural heritage activist, by publishing new photos of the dire state of this Sassanid fire temple, which has been completely neglected, warned about the maintenance methods and encroachments by farmers on its area and boundaries.

This cultural heritage enthusiast had also warned about the construction of greenhouses within the area and boundaries of this Sassanid site in 2017, but now says that not only were those warnings ignored, but more greenhouses have been built within the primary boundary of this Sassanid relic.
