Kerman Prosecutor: Members of the Academic Document Forgery Ring Arrested

Mehdi Bakhshi, the prosecutor of Kerman, has announced the arrest of members of a professional ring that forged around 800 academic documents in this province.

According to IRNA, some time ago, following the merger of two private banks and the re-evaluation of employees’ documents and work histories, the prosecutor encountered a forged document belonging to one of the employees. This led to the identification of a completely professional network that had forged academic documents ranging from high school diplomas to associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and higher degrees.

According to him, this professional ring operated only within the Kerman area, and with the order of the public and revolutionary prosecutor’s office of Kerman, the main actors and accomplices in the document forgery crime were arrested, and other suspects were summoned.

He stated that during the search of the suspects’ homes, a large number of academic documents and university and other related institutions’ seals were discovered and seized.
