Kirsten Vierg, a member of the German Parliament and the Christian Democratic Union party, has expressed concern regarding the situation of Elham Modarresi, one of the detainees from the recent protests, in a letter to the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Berlin.

Ms. Vierg, who is the political sponsor of Elham Modarresi, announced this in a post on the social media platform Instagram.

According to Ms. Vierg, the hunger strike by Ms. Modarresi and several other female prisoners in Kachouei prison in Iran has entered its third day.
