Khandouzi: Migrants Can Be an Opportunity for the Country's Job Market

Khandouzi: Immigrants can be an opportunity for the country’s labor market

Khandouzi, the government’s economic spokesperson, stated that immigrants who enter the country legally can be an opportunity for the country’s labor market because a significant portion of the jobs that immigrants are interested in, such as security and construction work, are not in demand by the Iranian workforce.

Regarding legal immigrants, we should turn this threat into an opportunity with the right policy.

The situation is different with illegal immigrants because they have no official status in Iran’s labor market and are considered a threat to the labor market, having adverse sociological effects on the country.

Accordingly, the President emphasized that the issue of immigrants should be addressed by a specific and accountable body called the Immigration Organization.
