Khatibzadeh: Snapback wastes Europe’s last card
Khatibzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister, emphasized that activating the snapback mechanism unnecessarily uses up Europe’s last card and this action will eliminate Europe’s mediation ability.
He stated that any future negotiations from Iran’s perspective will be armed negotiations and added that Tehran does not trust Washington and that increasing pressure on Iran is a mistake.
Khatibzadeh also said that returning to talks is only possible when negotiations are result-oriented and hostilities are halted.
