Khorasan newspaper accuses you of creating an atmosphere of suppression and preventing criticism of Raisi’s government
Khorasan newspaper criticized IRNA, the state news agency that reflects the news of Ebrahim Raisi’s government, accusing it of trying to create an atmosphere of suppression and preventing criticism of Mr. Raisi’s government.
This newspaper, which is close to conservatives, criticized an IRNA news agency report in its issue today, which covered Iranian newspapers’ coverage of Mr. Raisi’s government’s actions.
The IRNA article, titled ‘Was the past year’s front-page coverage of the government more destructive or supportive?’, addressed how the government’s actions were reflected in Iranian press.
The report stated that the most front-page headlines praising and thanking Ebrahim Raisi’s government belonged to Kayhan newspaper with 222 and Vatan Emrooz with 20 percent.
This report claimed that the most destructive front-page headlines were assigned to Mardomsalari newspaper with 294 and Khorasan with 235 percent.
Khorasan newspaper responded to this report today, stating that the political nature of this report is more pronounced than its journalistic aspect.
Rejecting the content of this report, the newspaper stated that such a report could pose the risk of suppression in criticism and demands from the government.
