The Border Guard Commander of Razavi Khorasan: More than 15,000 illegal immigrants have returned to Afghanistan

Mahmoud Parsafar, the deputy commander of the Border Guard of Razavi Khorasan, told reporters that border guards at the Taybad border post have handed over 15,472 illegal Afghan nationals to the representative of Afghanistan through the Dogharoon border in the past four days.

According to IRNA, approximately 328,000 Afghan immigrants who were illegally present in Iran during the first half of this year have been returned to their country through the borders of Razavi Khorasan.

Razavi Khorasan Province shares a 531-kilometer border with Turkmenistan to the north and northeast, and about a 302-kilometer border with Afghanistan to the east, with Taybad located 225 kilometers southeast of Mashhad.
