Kim Jong Un did not attend his father’s ceremony

It seems that Kim Jong Un avoided the ceremony held in honor of his father’s death, leading to speculation among South Korean observers that he might be focused on planning programs for the new year.

North Korea’s official news agency KCNA reported that senior officials of the country went to the Kumsusan Palace in Pyongyang to pay respects to Kim Jong Il, the father of Kim Jong Un and leader of North Korea, who passed away on December 17, 2011.
