Kremlin Spokesman’s Son Fights in Luhansk

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner paramilitary group, states that the son of Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, has fought alongside the fighters of this group in the Luhansk region against the Ukrainian army forces. He mentioned that Peskov personally contacted him about this matter.

Prigozhin has stated that he believes Vladimir Putin personally advised the Kremlin spokesman not to introduce his son to the Ministry of Defense for going to war.

The leader of the Wagner paramilitary group has previously criticized the level and quality of training and leadership of the Russian army forces multiple times.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, while praising Peskov’s son’s action, has said that after completing a three-week training course, he has been deployed as an artillery soldier in the disputed Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine.

It is said that the children of Russian officials refrain from sending their children to war. Prigozhin, criticizing this issue, said that officials hide their children, sending their sons to university to prevent them from going into service, while the children of workers are killed in the war.
